All in a day

Having a ball of a time at Go Go Bambini @ Dempsey with my SMH Nov friends. Was there for 2 hours of fun! 3pm-5pm

Mahjong time! The uncles having their mahjong session after dinner. I'm helping them to "wash" the tiles.
Finally at home and after my bath, working on the computer like daddy. 10pm

I am Walking

Yes! I'm walking at 14.5mths. I now can walk unassisted but not for too long. I can even walk and do a "U turn". I have been practising really hard at walking. First i took a few steps, slowly i gained more steps then i started to stand up on my own from the ground then i hold on the wall and walk and i started to let go of mummy's hands and walk on my own. Tatah!! I finally did it! Mummy got me my "pi pi" shoes. It's so funny, when i walk it will squeak.

Busy, busy Christmas

Mummy and me!

There's so much christmas cheer this christmas. So much joy and celebrations. We started off the christmas eve at daddy's company christmas party. I followed daddy to his office at suntec early in the morning at 8.45am. I was there early to register for the children's program but i was too young to participate in the treasure hunt and colouring contest. Oh well, then i just watched the rest of the kids running around in the whole office searching for the missing puzzle pieces. The christmas theme is Disney and actually mummy bought me a minnie mouse costume but it was too big and the material was very thick. In the end i just got dressed in my normal mickey and minnie tee. Otherwise i might be in the running for the best dressed. There are 3 kids who came in dolled up as snow white and a few in princess outfit. One of the snow whites got the best dressed prize. Hey the real Snow White came into the office, daddy and me managed to get a picture taken with her. Snow White wanted to carry me but i was a little afraid of her and decided to stick on daddy's lap. Santa Claus was in as well and i managed to get presents from him. Eh... ya i was also afraid of Santa too... and didn't want to shake his hand. After the buffet lunch, there was the much anticipated lucky draw. Top prize is $2500 travel vouchers and daddy was aiming for the second, $1000 cash and $500 shopping vouchers. Too bad, daddy didn't manage to win any of the 60 prizes. No luck. In the evening, mummy and daddy went for steamboat buffet in cementi with their friends, i was left at grandma's place and they picked me up after their dinner. On christmas day, we held a pot luck lunch at our place. Grandma and all my "Ah Yi" came over. Mummy cooked fried mee hoon and chicken wings. Da Yi cooked fishballs, pork chops and tomato prawns. 3rd Ah yi cooked chicken nuggets, sotong balls and prawn balls. Xiao yi made almond longan and cocktail jelly. Caris and Chloe had a good time playing with my toys. In the evening we went over to uncle Qingfeng's house to have buffet dinner. The spread was yummy but the food was too much and we had a lot leftover. The buffet dinner was planned quite last minute and we didn't manage to have any gift exchange this year. The next day, mummy left home very early at 6am in the morning for Dina Yi Yi's wedding. She was one of the sisters for her wedding gatecrashing. Daddy took over mummy's duty while she was away. After i woke up at around 8am, daddy bathed and fed me before bringing me over to grandma'a house. I wasn't feeling very good recently as i was having diarrhoea and the past 2 nights, i vomited. In the afternoon, daddy left to join mummy at Dina Yi Yi's wedding lunch at Conrad hotel. In the evening, there was another wedding and i got to join daddy and mummy for the wedding dinner. Daddy picked up Irene Yi Yi at her place before heading to Peony Jade Restaurant at Keppel Club. Not long after we arrived at the restaurant, daddy and mummy were having second thoughts about bringing me there. I was making so much noise as i did not want to be strapped to my baby seat. The toys mummy bought along wasn't useful to hold my attention. I was so eager to walk on the ground. I kept fussing mummy or daddy to bring me out to walk. I was climbing up and down the staircase, taking the elevator up and down, walking around the club house. Mummy and daddy got to take turns for each dish and they practically did that for the entire dinner. On sun, i was supposed to go for another Christmas party at Zachary's place but as my tummy still wasn't too good(still having diarrhoea) so i didn't go. : ( Well, overall, i still had a very busy and fun Christmas!!

Christmas Potluck

Christmas is just round the corner and mummy organized a Christmas potluck at our place today. She invited Auntie Jac, Sharon, Serene, uncle Lawrence, Nelson and JR. Mummy cooked fried mee hoon and chicken wings. The fried mee hoon was mummy's 2nd attempt and it tasted good. This was acknowledged by the guests. Auntie Sharon bought delicious pork satay and tomato with tuna. Auntie Jac bought strawberry jellyhearts and she fed me a small mouthful. It was yummy. Auntie Serene bought fishballs, fishcake and otah. After the lunch, mummy exchanged gifts with the guests. I got a very interesting Vtech toy from Auntie Sharon and Jac. I can read with it and also learn phonics. Oh, milk milk was here today too. When he first came i was so scared of him and mummy & daddy got to carry me around. I didn't want to go down on the ground. After some warming up, i am less afraid of milk milk and managed to crawl around the house. I even hit milk milk on the face when he's not looking. Luckily he didn't retaliate. Christmas is such a joyous occasion because i get to receive gifts, eat and meet lots of friends.

Mummy, see i can walk!

Did i tell you that i'm actually sprouting my 7th tooth now? It's growing on my lower jaw. I have 4 teeth on my upper jaw and 3 on the lower jaw. No wonder i am salivating more than before and have the urge to grab daddy's thigh and bite him. He's so scare of me now before if he is not careful with me, i may just bite him. Keke... Another great news is that i took 3-4 steps unsupported today and i actually did it without realising. Mummy saw it and she was so proud of me. She was moving my desk away with my colouring book and colour pencils on it, i was so engrossed in wanting to get my stuffs back that i walked quickly towards the desk. Then mummy tried to record my first few steps on video but failed. I only took 2 steps before i fall on her. Anyway, i am almost ready to start walking unsupported. Yeah!! Gonna be so much fun!!! Thanks to mummy for buying me so many books today. She went to BookFest with auntie bear and auntie mildy and she got me colouring book, Chinese picture books and English short story books.

Nov Baby Birthday Bash!

The greatest event of the year was finally over! I had a fantastic day during the Nov Baby Bash at Singtel Recreation Club last sunday (mummy's edd was supposed to be 4th nov but i popped out earlier in oct). The bash was organised by mummies from the Singapore Motherhood Forum Nov Thread which mummy was one of the organisers. Mummy and the other mummies have been planning for the birthday bash many months back. It was a huge success and mummies and babies all enjoyed the bash. We reached SRC at 12noon sharp to help up with the decor. We were the first to reach and shortly after, auntie Bear came followed by Auntie Rainbowcandybb. Mummy helped to inflate the balloons while i played with Jalen and his daddy. We have whale pool, thomas pool, slide tower, tots tunnel climber and jump and gym to play in. The buffet from Chillipadi was great. The food was very delicious. We also have 2 mickey n minnie jelly cakes and a 2 tier birthday cake from Pine Garden. My favourite were the colourful latex mickey mouse balloons and star shaped mylar balloons. They were tied all over the chairs in SRC. It was really pretty and i got so excited seeing all the pretty balloons floating in the air. There were so many toddlers walking and running around and mummies and daddies chatting around. At one moment i got cranky as i was feeling really tired as i didn't have my nap before i came to the party. Luckily i managed to nap 30 mins and all was good after that. I was back to my chirpy self and played with the kids in the ball pits. We didn't managed to stay till the end of the bash as mummy needed to rush off to attend a wedding dinner in the evening. We left shortly after the cake cutting ceremony at 4pm. Happy 1st Birthday to all the Nov Babies!

"Bu Yao"

On Sunday night, mummy caught me practicing saying " Bu Yao" along with head shaking actions in front of the mirror in my room. My pronunciation wasn't very accurate, only some came out audible. It was a good try anyway right? I'm learning to be more vocal now and speaking in a string of inaudible sentences. Actually i knew how to say "Pa Pa", "Ma Ma", "Mum Mum", "Nice", "Hello", "Ah Ma", "Ah Yi", "Bye" but i just don't like to say when asked to. Alright, probably when i am in a fantastic mood, i will amaze mummy and daddy with more vocabulary.

Wedding Event

Last Saturday, i attended a wedding lunch at Holiday Inn Atrium with mummy and grandma. We sat down at the same table with daddy's relatives. I didn't have my nap before going for the wedding lunch and ended up napping in mummy's carrier for a good 40mins. If it wasn't for the wedding march in and the guests' loud and thunderous applause, i would have continued sleeping. Very soon upon waking, i started to mingle with my relatives at my table. They marvelled at how fast i grew and how mischievous i have become. I smiled sweetly at the "Gor Gor" serving our table and winked at him. However when my relative tried to carry me, i shaked my head profusely and refused to let him carry me. I only allowed mummy, grandma and xiao gu po to carry me. The food serving at holiday Inn was big and the food wasn't too bad. Imagine mummy managed to take 3 full bowls of shark fin soup and there's still some left over. I did have some adult food as mummy shared some tofu and honey dew with me. For my lunch, mummy bought along porridge with pumpkin, spinach and thread fin fish. I seem to be eating throughout the event. Mummy was trying to keep me very occupied to prevent me from fussing. At times, mummy or grandma would bring me for walks outside the function room. Mummy said it was really tiring to bring me out for wedding functions as she couldn't eat in peace. I doubt i will be attending any of the wedding dinners with daddy & mummy this December. There is going to be 2 wedding dinners and a wedding lunch. Hmmm.... then i will just settle for Trevis' full month party this Saturday then.

Family Day!

Whee.... yesterday was really an enjoyable family day. We started the day at Parkway Parade. We had lunch at Central. After lunch, we headed to Polliwogs at East Coast Park. Auntie E-Wen and Zac were waiting for us there at 2pm. It was my first time at Polliwogs and i was so happy. We went to the ball pit and i love it. I was laughing and making so much noise. I wasn't scare of getting myself buried in the pool of colourful balls. The other older kids were jumping into the ball pit and mummy had to be alert and prevent them from banging into me. After the ball pit, i climbed up the steps to the slide and mummy was surprised i could climb well and fast up the stairs. I enjoyed the slide the most and went up and down the slide many many times. Then we went into the other section where there are some tunnels and obstacles. I enjoyed myself too though i didn't really fancy the tunnel much. we spent 2 hours at Polliwogs before Zac got cranky and wanted to go home. After Polliwogs, daddy sent us to Plaza Singapura and we shopped around before walking down from PS to Orchard Ion to see the christmas lightings. By then i was pretty tired and didn't smile as much as earlier in the day. Occasionally, i would wake up to see the Christmas decorations along the streets and malls. The rest of the time, i was napping in mummy's carrier.

My separation anxiety

I finally get to understand what separation anxiety really is cos i experiencing it right now. It started 2 days ago. On sat, daddy drove me to grandma's house and when grandma picked me up from daddy, i cried. I wanted to follow daddy to work. Then it happened again this morning. Daddy drove mummy and me to grandma's house and when grandma carried me from mummy, i cried. I also wanted to follow mummy to work. In the past even when i saw daddy and mummy leaving after putting me at grandma's place, i don't even care. Sometimes i would even wave goodbyes to them. I guessed i'm older now and i am able to understand more things. I have always followed wither daddy or mummy around and i want to follow them everywhere.

Shopping at Ikea

Yesterday i went to Ikea Tampines with daddy, mummy and grandma. We had lunch at the Ikea Restaurant and it was packed with people. We waited for quite some time to get a table and waited even longer to find a baby chair. Daddy bought lots of food - chicken wings, salmon burger sets, spaghetti with meatballs and curry puffs. After lunch we went shopping at Ikea. I was so happy when mummy bought me to the kids corner. There are swings, pushcart and toys and i love to push the cart around. When it was time to go, i cried because i still want to continue pushing the cart around. Mummy had to distract me with something to stop my crying. Then daddy got the trolley and let me sit in it. It was fun and i start to feel happy again. After 1-2 hous of shopping, we left Ikea.

13 mths and beyond

At 13 months, i love to do the following:
1) Tilt my head to the side, smile and act cute
2) Shake my head when i don't want something
3) Babbling loads which both daddy and mummy couldn't understand
4) Opening and closing anything with doors (shoe cabinet, kitchen cabinets, wardrobe sliding door,etc)
5) Pressing the lift buttons
6) Getting in and out of bumbo seat by myself
7) Watch cartoon network
8) Climb all over daddy or mummy in bed
9) Snatch daddy's Iphone and mummy's itouch

Playgroup

I went to Caris and Chloe's playgroup at Kindercom today. Caris and Chloe seem to enjoy the class. There are mainly 3 groups of kids doing different activities. One group were singing and dancing along with the music, another doing art and craft work and a group playing with toys. The teacher also helped Chloe do her colouring by holding her hand and guiding her. I was crawling inside the room and was very happy and excited to see so many friends. I crawled to the group playing with toys and joined them. I was so engrossed in playing and didn't mind when 1 indian girl came over and touch me on my face. I was the youngest there and the kids ran up to me and tried to befriend me. Mummy saw that i was enjoying myself in the class and asked for more info from the teacher. However i'm still too young to join and i can't even walk steadily. Looks like the earliest is to wait till i turned 18mths.

Mini Me at Work

When mummy first bought the toy pony for me, i couldn't ride well. I will sit on it for less than 5 mins. Now that i'm older i appreciate the pony more, i can now ride it around the whole house.

After sending daddy off at the door for his soccer session, i decided to have some fun wearing mummy's sandals. In no time, i should be seen walking around the house in mummy's heels.

See? This is how you carry your handbag. I've been secretly observing how mummy carries her bags and tadah!! Do i carry my bag with style?

Fever Bug

It must be the eratic weather that made me sick. I was having runny nose on wed morning when mummy sent me to grandma's house. In the evening when she picked me up, my flu got worse. My nose was practically like a "running tap". I hate it when mummy tried to wipe my nose. I was feeling so uncomfortable that i didn't sleep well. I slept after 12 midnight and i woke mummy up several times from crying with my eyes closed. I was feeling miserable and mummy was also getting tired trying to coax me back to sleep. At 4plus, i woke mummy up again with my cries and she thought i could be hungry and made me some milk. After my milk, i didn't feel any better and was whining again. Then mummy realised i was feeling feverish and woke daddy up. As there was no fever medicine at home, daddy and mummy decided to bring me to TMC 24 hour clinic. We made our way to the hospital at 5am and reached home at 6.30am. By then i was so tired and i slept all the way home till 11am.

Birthday parties!

Today it a hectic day for mummy and me. We attended Yu-Qi and Claudia's 1st birthday parties at Jurong and Punggol. Daddy drove us to Yu-Qi's party. At Yu-Qi's party at Parc Oasis, there is a nice play corner with slide and see-saw. I went down the slide, it was fun and i kept crawling everywhere. Mummy was so tired pulling me back to prevent me from snatching Yu-Fei's toy and carrying me all around the function room to "entertain" me with the balloons. I saw Zachary and was so happy but he seems to forget me. He didn't respond to me when i talked to him. I kept reaching out to him but he just stay quiet. Well, maybe he will remember me later. After Yu-Qi's cake cutting ceremony, we rushed down to Claudia's party with Auntie E-wen and Zachary. We reached Claudia's place at 3.30pm and was just in time for the cake cutting ceremony. Phew! What a mad rush for us. Both Yu-Qi and Claudia's cake are Hello Kitty theme and they are so pretty and yummy. Auntie Sharon's house is really filled with toys. There are simply too many toys for me to discover and play with. I had a good time playing in the play room before daddy came to fetch us back home.

My Lunar Bday & Mee Sua

Today is a very special day because it's my lunar birthday, daddy and mummy's 2nd customary wedding anniversary and supposed to be mummy's estimated date of delivery last year. And... uncle Qing Feng and Auntie Shangjuan welcomed their baby boy Trevis today too! This morning mummy prepared a bowl of mee sua and 2 eggs for me. It's a chinese tradition to eat mee sua with 2 eggs for lunar birthday. This is the first time i'm tasting mee sua and i must say it is yummy. Mummy was so slow in feeding me and i made a big fuss. I just can't wait for mummy to cut the mee sua into smaller pieces. Every spoonful she put into my mouth was swallowed almost instantly. Delicious!

I love to eat!

The most happy thing about being a toddler is that i get to eat a wider range of food. Dr Ong told mummy that she can start sharing adult food with me when i turned 1 year old. Currently for breakfast and lunch, i am eating BabyNat organic cereal with fruits. Like mummy, i also love berries and mummy will throw in 10 blueberries to eat with my cereal. With the blueberries, i love my cereal even more. For tea break, i had yoplait baby yogurt. It was yummy and i managed to finish the whole tub. Sometimes, mummy will also give my gerber puffs and healthy times teddy puffs for tea. I also love my tofu cos i can get my protein boost from it and i can grow up healthy and strong. Rice grains taste good too and i often get to share rice with daddy and mummy during dinner. Currently my milk intake is about 400ml of formula milk in the day and a feed of breast milk at night. Mummy has bought baby pasta and tomato paste. I'm still waiting for her to cook it for me. Yummy yummy! The thought of it already make me salivate..

Angel or Devil

I'm growing up very fast. Mummy has caught me doing new stunts almost every day. Last week while i was on the train with mummy, i winked at the lady seated next to mummy to get her attention and it worked. She was smiling to me and i smiled back. Then i winked at her again and again. Mummy told the lady i was being cheeky. I also love to play peek a boo behind the handle bar while on the train. Each time i succeeded in getting the attention of the other commuters. I am also learning to make funny sounds. Sometimes i go "ay....", "Eeee", "ummm..." and i also love to yak to my toys or whatever that caught my fancy. Today i learned to suck in my upper lips and make this really grouchy face. I know i don't look adorable with that kind of face but who cares. It's fun! My temper isn't too good nowadays, if i wanted something i will grab hold of the thing tightly. Like today, daddy tried to snatch my plastic cup out of my hand and i held it firmly. My face was all red as i was using all my strength to hold on to the plastic cup and refusing daddy to take it away. I lost my temper and cried when daddy took it away from me. My grandparents also commented that i got a fiery temper. On good days i can be a sweet angel. Really!!

Happy Halloween .

31st Oct was Halloween. However we don't really celebrate Halloween in Singapore. Serene Yi Yi was telling mummy the other day that she could bring me to night safari to celebrate Halloween. The night safari has planned lots of interesting characters to frighten the guests. Mummy thinks i'm too young for it. Probably she could go with daddy instead. However it was raining the whole of yesterday and the plan was not put through. Anyway, we went to toy r'us at Vivo City the other day and had lots of fun there with all the Halloween stuffs.

Happy Full Month to Colleen

Today is Baby Colleen's full month and we went to La Casa to see baby Colleen. Baby Colleen is so sweet and she was sleeping throughout the whole event. That was exactly what i did for my full month too. We were there early and i have to wait for Caris and Chloe to arrive before we can go swimming. Uncle Adrian said i can go swimming at his condo pool and i was looking forward to playing in the water. Shortly after Caris and Chloe arrived, mummy changed me into my swimming costume and i played in the pool with my cousins. Mummy didn't join me in the pool today and i was glad Caris was pushing me around the pool in my wave rider.

Shopping Time!

Since mummy is not working today, she decided to bring me shopping at Orchard Road. She asked Da yi and Caris along too. We went to Takashimaya children department as Da Yi wanted to buy some clothes for Caris. We shopped around for clothes but didn't see anything that is suitable for me. Caris is so into "princesses" nowadays, she even asked me to call her Princess Jie Jie. Just last week, Da Yi bought a set of princess dressing up kit for her. The kit comes with a wand, tiara, earrings, necklace, princess skirt, glass slippers, bangle and ring. I must say she look really good when she's dressed up in those princess gears. After shopping for 2-3 hours, i was really beat and we headed home. On the ride home, i couldn't sit still and was so interested with everything around me. The lady seated beside me was holding a really nice phone and that attracted me. I tapped her on her shoulders and also tried to grab her bag. Mummy got to apologise to the lady but i just couldn't stop. Then i turned to my other side and pulled the lady's handbag as well. I wanted to reach out to her phone too. She was playing games on her mobile and she got the same phone as daddy. 3 malay aunties were standing in front of me, they kept looking at me and i tried to reach out to their hands. I was practically tossing and turning in mummy's arms. Trying to get out of her grip and going onto the floor. Mummy was struggling to keep me seated. After some time, mummy gave up and stood up instead. But now, the handle bars on the trains were equally interesting and i tried to get hold of them. I just couldn't keep still. I guess mummy has been praying for us to reach home fast cos i proved too much for her to handle. Opps! Keke.. By the time we reached our station, i was so tired and i just fell asleep all the way back home.

My birthday

Today is my birthday. Yippee! I officially turned one and saying bye bye to my babyhood. Daddy and mummy are busy at work today and i'm left at popo's house from morning to 2pm. Grandma had something on and could only babysit from afternoon. This is the first time i'm under the care of Popo. Da yi brought me along when she sent Caris to her playgroup class at 10 plus. I was elated and so excited to tag along with them. They are so many little friends at Caris's play group. So nice to have so many friends to play together. Mummy went for her gynae checkup in the morning and after that she went to Komoco motors to help daddy make payment for our car. The lady said our car should be arriving next week. Yeah! Uncle Shuen must be happy as he won't need to keep ferrying me back home at night. I received so many birthday wishes to me on mummy's facebook page and also on her mobile smses. Thank you to all the kind aunties n uncles for the well wishes! I felt so loved!

My first birthday party

The day started earlier as i got up at 9.30am, had my bath and accompanied mummy to khatib to pick up some kueh kueh from Ah Yi's stall. Mummy's friend loves the kueh kueh and mummy got it specially for her. After that i returned home and had a short nap. I'm going to have a long day so i need adequate sleep to maintain my cheerful and friendly self. Daddy, mummy, gugu, uncle shuen, aunty min and aunty sharon went down to the linkhouse to inflate the balloons and decorate the place. Yes! It's my 1st birthday and i am having a party! Shortly after, auntie Irene and uncle Melvin arrived and helped with the decor. Uncle mel was really kind to volunteer his service as our professional photographer. "Thanks! Uncle Mel!"Then came the helium balloons. I was elated in seeing the balloons.. Mummy carried me and i was kicking my legs egging her to step closer to the balloons so i can touch them. I was really happy and allowed almost anyone to carry me. They simply need to distract me to the balloons and i'll be happy. Mummy ordered a very beautiful cake for me. I was so surprised when everyone gathered and started singing happy birthday song to me. I held onto the knife firmly as mummy guided me to cut the cake. I was so busy the whole day, smiling and being passed from one person to another. It amazing i stayed awake for 5 straight hours since 12noon. I wasn't cranky at all even though i looked tired at times. After the whole event, i was knocked out for 2 hours. My last meal was 2pm and i was too tired to feel hungry. At 7pm, i woke up and had my dinner. I took just several minutes to finish my bowl of rice cereal. I really enjoyed myself today and thanks to mummy and daddy for planning this party for me. Thanks to all for the lovely gifts, ang pows and well wishes.

No more a baby

6 more days of babyhood! After that i will be an active toddler when i turned 1 year old. I'm going to celebrate my 1st birthday tomorrow. Daddy and mummy have invited about 50 guests. I'm very excited to see the kor kors and jie jies. I'm sure i will have a good time tomorrow as mummy has spent a few months planning for this. Before i blew the candle on my cake, let's do a summary of my progress to date :

• 3 solid meals (cereal/porridge)
• 2 naps
• 2 upper teeth (sprouting stage but visible)
• 2 lower teeth (halfway there)
• Vocabulary Library consists of "ma ma", "mum mum", pa pa", "no", "nice","hello" the rest mummy can't really make it out.

Trip to Singapore Flyer

It is an extremely hot day at the Singapore Flyer. The sun was high up in the sky, shining brightly and scotching hot. Daddy took leave today to bring us to visit Singapore Flyer as Da Yi has free tickets. We went higher and higher in the capsule and i didn't display any fear of height. I was more interested in looking at Caris and Chloe having fun inside the capsule than the beautiful view outside. The entire ride up lasted 30 mins. After that we have some snacks at Popeye's before heading back home.

Children Day and Mid Autumn Party

I had a fun day at the block parties today. Mummy got me tickets to celebrate children's day and mid autumn at our neighbourhood. Both grandmas were here together with Da yi, yi zhang, Caris, Chloe and Siti. The children day party near my block was packed with children. I am one of the youngest there and i couldn't participate in any of the games. The children were taking part in colouring contest, yoyo contest, hula hoop contest and marbles contest. I could only sit at one corner and observe the rest. After the children day party i went home for a nap and went for the mid autumn party at Jelutung CC. the weather was bad today. It started drizzling at 3 plus and it rained in the evening. Mummy almost didn't want to attend the mid autumn party due to the weather but luckily at 8 plus, the rain stopped. Thus we still went ahead to the party as planned. So many kids were carrying their lanterns and playing with candles. After collecting our goodies bag and sculptured balloons, we went under a block and Yi zhang helped me lit up my lantern. The lantern was really pretty. Chloe was having so much fun and she kept running and running. Caris also enjoyed herself very much and she even helped take pictures of us. I must say she did a very good job. At the end of the day, i was beat and slept almost immediately after my bath and milk.

Happy Children's Day

Happy Children's Day to all the children in the world. May all the children be showered with lots of love and happiness. Today is children's day and daddy took the day off to bring me out. I was sick since yesterday. I caught the flu bug and i have been having runny nose and wasn't feeling especially good. Last night i couldn't sleep well and woke up at 2am crying. I even vomited on mummy. I really hate to be sick. Anyway daddy and mummy brought me out to several places today. We went to Thomson to have lunch and then we proceeded to Compassvale to collect my table top from Sean Lau. Then we also made our way to Farm mart. It was disappointing at farm mart cos the place wasn't interesting at all. It seems like a dead town. Most shops are closed and the whole place wasn't properly maintained. The animals look bored and sad. There wasn't any crowd there as well. We then decided to leave the place and go to causeway point. Mummy wanted to go to kiddy palace to get me new shoes. I even got a children day present from the kiddy palace staff. There's a Barbie file, a fan and some bubble gel in it. In the evening, daddy and mummy bought me to Eu Yan Sang to see the physician. The medicine smell is so strong and as usual, mummy fed me one spoonful of pear puree then 1 jet of the medical concoction. Later at midnight, i'm going to the airport to fetch uncle shuen. He's coming back to spore for good and it's my first time seeing him later.

Food Therapy

Yesterday daddy brought mummy and me out to upper bukit timah for some food therapy. Daddy seldom suggests places out of the north area to eat. Seems like daddy is in a good mood. We went to New Garo Japanese restaurant for lunch. The food was ok, not very fantastic. Mummy fed me some japanese white rice and watermelon. I am so happy to eat with daddy and mummy. After that we proceed to Udders ice cream for some dessert. Mummy ordered strawberry fields and chocomarsh ice cream. The waitress gave me a plastic spoon and told me that the ice cream is yum yum. She assumed mummy will share some ice cream with me. Mummy initially didn't want me to have the ice cream but i was eyeing it so much that she relented. She gave me a tiny bit of strawberry fields and i was hooked. I kept screaming for more. Mummy only gave me the strawberry flavored one as she thought fruity ice cream was less sinful than chocolate one. I wasn't supposed to have ice cream at this age. Well, i can't ask for more right? I should be contented to taste some ice cream.

My 2nd tooth

After a long wait, my 2nd tooth is finally visible on my lower jaw. My first tooth has not fully erupted yet and the 2nd one is on its way. My tooth only started showing when i am 10 mths old, that is considered pretty late. Most of my peers has already gotten 4-5 teeth by then. Anyway it's not a serious matter. Daddy and mummy do misses my gummy grin when i was "bo gey".
Recently i like doing this little trick with my mouth. I will do a O shape with my mouth and blow out a big bubble with my saliva. I am amazed by the size of the bubble that i blew out using my mouth. It's much bigger than the bubbles i get from my bubble gun. Keke....

The Great Toy R Us Sale

Mummy had a crazy day today. She went to united square ToyRUs sale at 10plus in the morning and the queue to the sale was already so long. She managed to get some pretty good deals from the sale after fighting hard among the crowd and tight space. Everybody seems to be grabbing the toys as if they are free of charge. Mummy was so tired as she has to carry the heavy bags of toys and manoeuvre among the crowd, queued very long for her turn to pay for the toys and carrying the toys back. She did all these just so that i can have nice toys to play with. Anyway just to share with you the toys she bought for me!

Hello?

I gave mummy a big surprise this morning. She was beside me reading her papers and suddenly she turned to look at me. She couldn't believe what she heard and saw. I picked up the cow toy and placed it on my ear then i said "hello". I have been monitoring mummy making phone calls on her mobile for weeks and months. For the past month, i have shown great interest whenever mummy is making calls. I will be mumbling and cooing at the background, trying to join in the chat. I guess i finally know the function of a phone. Thus i was busying trying it out on whatever i can get hold of. For today, i started practicing putting the phone to my ear and then putting the phone on mummy's ear. I even learnt to say "hello".
