My favourite comfort object

Mummy was thinking hard about finding my favourite comfort object and i simply don't have any. Some kids love sucking on their own thumb or pacifier to find comfort but i don't. I don't have the habit of sucking my thumb when i was little and i grew out of my pacifier when i'm around 11 months old. Many kids love their "smelly" pillow and need to smell them to go to sleep but i don't. I'm not attach to my bean sprout pillow or bolster. I don't hug them to go to sleep. They are just lying around on the bed. I don't have any security blankets as well nor have any favourite soft toys to hug to sleep. Seriously if mummy really wants to find out my favourite object, that will probably be her breasts cos i need to nurse to go to sleep. If i'm cranky and tired, just give me a breast and i will be quiet and go to sleep within minutes.

Shopping Time

My favourite pop up story book and mummy's favourite too!
My eyes always light up when the pictures popped out. Cool!

Got this yummy smoothie at Vitakids. I must say it's really good.
Around $2 per packet depending on the flavour. Simply irresistible!

My Dora camera. I like to hear the sound when i click on the button. Smile and say Cheese!

My button cookies in vanilla flavour. Nice. And more packets of 100% organic smoothie in various flavours.

The weather early this morning was superb to sleep in. Strong winds and raining heavily. However i got to wake up at 9am as i'm going to town with mummy to meet her friends at 10.30am. Today is shopping day! We reached Orchard Takashimaya at 10.45am. Most of the restaurants were not open yet. We got to shop around with Denise Yi Yi while waiting for Crystal Jade La Mian to open for business at 11.30am. At Taka, mummy bought me a Dora Camera because she knows i like taking pictures. We then had our lunch at Crystal Jade while waiting for Sally Yi Yi to come. Mummy cut up the noodles and i self fed myself. Luckily i did well and did not create a big mess for mummy. We took some photos and both Denise and Sally Yi Yi were surprised to see me posing for the camera. Denise Yi Yi left earlier and we continued shopping with Sally Yi Yi. Mummy bought me packets of organic smoothies and munchies from VitaKids. I also added another pop up book "On the forest floor" to my collection. I love shopping with mummy!

Daddy's Girl

"Dad....Di", this is how i usually call my daddy. Mummy taught me to call daddy but i like to break up the words. I'm actually calling "dad..di" more than "ma ma" nowadays. Mummy must be jealous. I love to play balls but i still can't kick them. The most i will hold in my hand and throw. Whenever mummy play ball ball with me, i will shriek in delight and excitement. I think when i'm older, I'll probably be able to join daddy in his soccer game but of course i cannot play rough and the competitive type.

Morning Visit to the PD

I was having fever last night again. Hovering between 38 degree celsius to 38.9 degree celsius. This morning i woke up very feverish and my temp shot to all time high of 39.1 degree celsius. Mummy quickly took a shower and bundled me to the nearest PD at Kidslink Clinic. Shortly after we registered at the counter, Shangjuan Yi Yi came in with baby Trevis to see the doctor as well. What a coincidence. My stats as of 15mths is 9.6kg and 76cm tall. Doctor said i'm having viral infection and that's what causing the fever. When we came from the clinic, i rested a while before taking my bath. Then when dressing up, mummy saw tiny rashes on my tummy and hands. She quickly called the clinic and brought me back to see the doctor again. Luckily the clinic is only a 10mins walk from home. After some examination, doctor said it's viral rashes and mummy must monitor me over the next 2-3 days.

I hate to be Sick

This is the doggie toy that i played and accidentally stepped on that caused me to fall forward onto the edge of the TV console.
Look at the nasty red scar and some bruising on my forehead.

Cough Cough! Simply hate coughing cos it made me feel terrible. I have been coughing for the past 3 days and mummy brought me to see the doctor when my cough got worse. I couldn't sleep well at night cos the cough made me choked on my saliva and i woke up crying... many times every night. One of the nights i slept from 10.15pm to 12.30am, then waking up crying and fussing before succumbing to over tiredness and finally zonked out at 4am. Last night i accidentally stepped on my toy and fell against the edge of the television console. Sob sob!! It was so painful and i got a bruise on my forehead. So unlucky. I also got a fever last night and luckily mummy has medicine in the fridge. I really hate to be sick. Hope i get well very soon.

My progress at 14.5 mth

I love to talk and often i talk in a fast and excited manner. Mummy and daddy simply couldn't make any sense out of my speech. I like to twist my tongue around when talking and acted as if I'm speaking in really "good English".Most of the time, mummy will play along and answer me as though she understood what I'm telling her. At grandma's place last night, i came up with a few more words, i can say "mei you le" and pig. Mummy was delighted to see my growth and progress everyday. Last night, i was flipping through my picture book and mummy asked me to show her the dog which i flipped to the page and showed her. Then she asked for pig. I did and repeated pig after mummy. When she asked for hamster, i also flipped to the correct page. Then i took my pink bag and sling it over my head. Grandma wondered why i learned from since i only know how to sling it on my arm. Daddy has been using this bag which he will sling over his head and on his shoulder. That was where i picked it from. Ha ha.. And when my favorite commercial came on, i will dance to the music and shake my bom bom.

Friends gatherings

Recently, i've been doing some catching up with daddy's friends. We met Uncle Andy and Emily Yi Yi for dinner at Flamingg Mangos on New Year's Eve. I was not in a good mood that day and was quite hostile and defensive. No thanks to lack of sleep. Even i was sleep deprived, i kept wanting to get away from my baby seat and WALK. Mummy practically wolfed down the ravioli and grilled dory so that she can bring me to walk around the cafe. Emily Yi Yi was telling daddy to visit HK so that she could bring us around HK, GuangZhou and Shenzhen. She will bring us to places for cheap seafood and good shopping. Mummy's eyes immediately lit up when she heard about travelling. She's been pestering daddy to go travelling ever since daddy's work trip to japan in jun 08. She was 6-7 mths pregnant with me then and daddy didn't allow mummy to follow him. Daddy and mummy were contemplating whether to bring me along for the trip as i can be quite a handful. As Emily Yi Yi recommended at least a week long trip, they have to bring me along as daddy was sure my grandparents will not be able to handle me. *Grinning*
On sat, we went to meet Uncle Han Siong ( my self-proclaimed God father). He was back in Singapore for a 2 week holiday before jetting back to NY for his studies. He's really not good in handling babies and small children. He didn't dare to carry me (not that i am wishing to be carried). I guess i will have to meet him more to warm up to him.
