Longkang fishing at Bottle Tree

Bottle Tree Village
Say Cheese!
Can you see what's inside the pond?
So many coins and fishes inside the pond.
Me and my pathetic fish net. How to catch fish like this?
All in a day's catch. 7 fishes in all. 3 goldfish, 4 longkang fish.
Cool huh? Not me, i mean the magnificent tree behind me!
Jumping around the bottle tree.
Time for a H2O break!
At the sandy playground and me trying to make my way up on the slide.
Soaking ourselves in the sun and enjoying the breeze.

Today mummy decided to bring me to Bottle Tree Village for some Longkang fishing. She arranged with Da Yi to bring my 2 cousins along as well. Da Yi came to our place to pick us up and we reached the Bottle Tree Village at 4plus. The sun was shining high up in the sky, the place was crowded with lots of kids and their parents. The pond was packed with many people.. Mummy paid $10 to get a fish tank and a fishing net. I was very gungho and i took off my shoes and followed mummy into the shallow fish pond. Caris and Chloe were both afraid and did not join me in the pond. They stayed on the land and guarded the fish tank, waiting for us to catch some fish. The fish swam very swift and it was very hard to catch them with our small fishing net. About 10 mins later, the crew at Bottletree released a bag of fish into the pond and a small handful of goldfish. As goldfish swims slower, mummy managed to catch 3 of them. I tried to swing my net in the water but i couldn't catch any fish. I decided that soaking in the pond is more fun than catching fish and sat in one corner of the pond splashing the water away. After about 45 mins, we have 7 fish in our tank and decided to end the fishing activity. Mummy quickly washed me up and we proceeded to the play area. We spent about 20 mins playing the swing and taking the slide before going granny's house for dinner. All of us were starving after all the activities.

Fidgets!

At Fidgets.
Whoa.... so many balls.
Hey, these balls can't bounce.
Holding on to the pillar for support before positioning myself well enough to go down the slide.
Ok, i'm ready to let go of my hand and slide down.
What's that in front of me? Better stop first.
Ball pit at the little fidgets corner.
Going up to the slide thru an alternative route.

Last Tues, Mummy arranged a playdate with Auntie G and Baby T to Fidgets at Turf City. Daddy drove us there early in the morning around 9.30am. We took an hour to reach the place as there were a lot of jams along the expressway. Fidgets was crowded with a lot of kids and parents. Mummy felt that Fidgets wasn't as fun for me as compared to Polliwogs and Go Go Bambini. It wasn't friendly for kids at my age for the main section as the obstacles were not designed to allow our parents to follow us through. The tunnels were too small to let a normal sized adult through. Thus most of the time i was confined to the little fidgets corner. Anyway as long as i'm out, i will definitely enjoy myself. After 1 hour plus or so, we went for lunch at Ah Yat restuarant. We had dim sum and the food were yummy. After lunch, we went to Auntie G's house and we stayed there for 2 hours or so before daddy came to fetch us home.

A fun day at the fish farm

At Xin Wang Cafe, we had our lunch before heading to Mainland Tropical Fish Farm at Pasir Ris.
This is our first outing together. See how excited we are to start exploring the fish farm.
Look at the beautiful koi fishes.
There's a little goldfish in there. Seems like most people missed it. Me pointing out the goldfish to mummy
Finally it's feeding time. I tried to pour some food out onto my hand. Trysten wants some too.
Whoa! The kois are really hungry!
Pouring more food out onto my hand. I must be more efficient, the fishes are still very hungry.
There's a little duck on the floating merry go round, it was going round and round and round. It didn't dare to swim over to us.
There are also many tortoises in the pond.
More fishes for feeding. Waiting for Auntie Alicia to get some more fish food from the farm.
Mummy managed to catch a chick and showed it to us. Here's a brave Trysten trying to pat it. I'm very afraid, i think i will just stick to my seat on the swing.
Head and shoulders, knees and toes... my current favourite song.
Look how happy and excited i am when i sat on the swing. I really love sitting on the swing.
Auntie Alicia and Trysten posing for a picture.
Here's a picture of mummy and me on the kiddy table.

And one more shot on the swing before we leave the farm.

After the farm visit, we went to downtown east to walk around. There's a kids indoor playground called explorer. We didn't go into explorer as it was already quite late. So we had some waffles and ice cream at gelare before calling it a day!

Iphone Overdose

Both daddy and mummy felt that i am having an overdose on iphones. Everynow and then you will see me holding one and watching so intensely at the you tube videos, my photos and video clips or some kids applications. Daddy is really worried about me getting myopic at a tender age and also absorbing all the harmful radiations emitting from the small but powerful machines. In no time, i believe daddy is going to announce an official ban of iphones usage on me.
I enjoy using the iphones to watch you tube videos of the wiggles and other kids songs. I have watched videos over and over again and i have learned to sing "Row your boat", "twinkle twinkle little star", "abc","head, shoulders, knees and toes" and "if you are happy".* Disclaimer, i can't sing the full song with all the words intact but i can emphasis on certain words of the songs and actions included.* Just the other night, i was in mummy's room and i started singing "head....." and quickly pointing to my toes. Mummy was scratching her head wondering what am i doing and then she understood what i was doing. I was actually singing "head, shoulders, knees and toes" with actions. Mummy was so thrilled and greatly amused by my actions. Come 1st July, i will be joining Chloe at her playgroup at Kindercom. I believed i will have a great time learning singing and dancing along with the other kids in school.

After effects of Immunisations

I was very whiney after my jabs yesterday. Nothing seems to appease me and mummy couldn't understand what i want. I made noise at the slightest irritation. I didn't want to drink milk and just want to latch but after a while i pulled away and i get whiney before asking to latch again. Mummy made me some ribena and i took less than half of it. I went to bed around 11 plus and when mummy went to bed at around 2am, she discovered i was feeling feverish. My temperature reading was 37.9 degrees celsius. Dr Goh has pre-empted mummy that after MMR jab, fever may occur on the fifth day. She didn't know i will run a fever so fast and on the day of the jabs. Mummy didn't give me medicine but she checked my temperature again at 5am. Then my fever has went up to slightly over 38 degrees celsius. She fed me paracetamol and i took 1 hour before falling asleep at 6am when the day was breaking. When i woke up at 10.30am in the morning, my fever has subsided. I will continue to be monitored for my fever. Hope it will stay controlled or better still disappear.

Urgh.. Injections!

Mummy and i met up with Auntia Alicia and Trysten for lunch at Sun Plaza today. I was pretty shy and didn't interact much with Trysten. Only much later when we came down from our baby seats then we played together for a while. Then i ran and bumped my head onto the table edge and got a swelling on my forehead. I cried. After lunch, Auntie Alicia gave us a ride to Peace Clinic at sembawang. I was supposed to take my long over due MMR jab and my 5in1 jab booster at 15 mth and 18 mth respectively. As i was due to start playgroup on 1st July, mummy wants me to take pneumococcus jab as well. There are so many catch ups to do on my jabs. Peace Clinic was closed from 1st to 6th June and mummy brought me to Kidslink Clinic instead. At my 19 plus mth assessment, i now stands at 81cm tall and weighs 10.7kg. Dr Goh told mummy i could took 2 jabs today. In the end i was given MMR on the left thigh and the 5in1 booster on the right. For the 1st jab (MMR) i cried for a very short while but the 2nd jab, i cried all the way home. It was due to exhaustion as i have not taken my afternoon nap and i started getting grouchy. Once back at home, mummy put me to nap and i fell asleep shortly. Today is not a good day for me. I got a bump and 2 painful jabs.

Kidslink children's clinic will be moving out next week and Dr Goh will be moving over to Spore Baby and Child Clinic in AMK. Mummy was so sad to hear of this news and there will be no PD clinic around in sembawang. Kidslink Clinic is just a stone throw away from our place. Next time, we will have to travel further for my jabs.

Genting Highlands Road Trip 26th-28thmay

Finally reaching our destination. First World Hotel Carpark. Waiting for Da Yi Zhang and Xiao Yi Zhang to park their cars and load off their luggages.
Yippee!! Still can't believe i have reached Genting in approximately 4.5 hrs ride. Waiting at First World Hotel lobby during checking in.
In grandma and mummy's hotel room 2921. Caris and Chloe love popping over to play with me. They stayed just opposite our room (2933).
Posing for the camera with some really funny poses from Caris and Chloe.
Dinning at Coffee Terrace Cafe on the first night. Look at the both of us sipping water gracefully and silently from the glasses. That's what i call good table manners.
Taking kiddy rides at the game arcade on the night of our arrival at Genting. Preview to the theme parks. I sat through the same ride for 4-5 times simply by swiping the game credit card against the sensor. Mummy spent rm10 for the 10 rides.
Feel a bit grumpy because i had to queue a while for my very first ride at the outdoor theme park. Behind me is Da Yi who's taking temperature reading for Caris. She was hospitalised due to high fever and fits. She only got discharged the day before the trip but all was well for her during the trip. The fun and cool weather cured her.
The air is so cool up here and the wind blew the fog over the entire theme park.
Airplane ride. Here's a picture of me in the air. I just staring blankly that's all. I am not afraid of taking this ride.
At the outdoor theme park. Caris and Da Yi Zhang on the jumbo elephant ride. This elephant can take us really high up in the air all by the press of a button. Whew!! Fun.
Caris says "V for Victory". Chloe and me posed as per normal. Picture taken after our baths, all set to explore the theme park.
Caris, Chloe, me and Xiao Yi Zhang. We had a fun time running after Xiao Yi Zhang and here's a picture of us.
Daily must have activity. Bubbles Time! The 3 of us simply adores bubbles and had a real good time playing bubbles along the hotel corridor. Usually mummy will play with us but the bubble gun seems to be slightly faulty so Da Yi Zhang took over.
Me and my pretty necklace that mummy got for me while shopping at Genting malls. It comes with the bracelets as well.
28th May 2010. After lunch @ Hou Mei Cafe and some baskin robbins ice cream. Taking some pictures before heading home.
