Jurong Bird Park

Yippee! First trip to Jurong Bird Park.

I visited Jurong Bird Park with daddy and mummy yesterday. The weatherman forecast that there will be rain in the late afternoon so we reached the park slightly before noon. There were so many species of birds in the park but i must say i like the penguins the most. First all all, they are so cute when they waddle about and secondly their home is air conditioned. I felt really good when i am inside the penguins area. When mummy asked me to smile for the camera, i happily obliged. Next, we saw parrots. We queued up to have a family picture taken with the colorful birds near to the entrance. I saw many species of parrots, flamingos, ostrich, eagles, swans, mandarin ducks, pelicans and many others. However as we strolled in the park, i got more grouchy and ignored daddy when he took pictures for mummy and me. I didn't want to answer or look at him. Mummy blamed it on the weather that i was grouchy and she was right. Just before we leave the park, we visited the penguins again and i was all smiles. The sun was really strong and the portable fan didn't relieve much of the heat i'm feeling. At 1pm, we went to see the birds n buddies show, the birds are all very intelligent. They can perform lots of tricks, all the children were very entertained by them. Just before we left the park, mummy bought me a souvenir. It was a parrot soft toy. Then i go " Bird", "Bird", "Bird".

My 2nd Trip to the Zoo

Was so happy n excited when i finally got the chance to"walk" around the Zoo.

Daddy and mummy brought me to the Zoo today. The weather was bright and sunny when we set off at 11am. As the March holidays just ended and today being a monday, the zoo was not crowded at all. It's best to come at this time because we don't have to fight with the crowd when queuing for the tickets, taking the tram ride, finding space to take pictures, etc. I wasn't in my best mood today, was actually slightly tired and wasn't co-operative taking photos. And more so because i was stuck in my stroller. I saw the white faced monkeys, white tigers, polar bears, giraffes, rhinoceros, snakes just to name a few. I love taking the tram rides and i will sit down quietly with mummy n daddy and enjoying the breeze when the tram moves. My last stop at the zoo was the Rainforest Kidzworld, I was enjoying myself at the wet play area. I played with a bigger sister and followed her around the wet play area. However my happiness was short lived, the skies darkened n threatened to rain. Mummy scooped me up and quickly showered. Just when i was changing, it rained and we had to stay inside the KFC restaurant to wait for the rain to stop before going home.

Kady's Full Month

Yesterday was Baby Kady's full month party. We reached their house at 2pm sharp. There were a lot of people at Ah yi's house. I was so busy entertaining the guests and was seen walking in and out of the rooms. I was so comfortable with the people (practically strangers as i don't know any of yi zhang's relatives) and was hanging out with them in the entertainment room. Mummy and daddy were both seated outside the room and they were eyeing my every move in the room. They were so surprised to see that i acted as if i know all the people in the room. One auntie tried putting on her daughter's hairband on me and the uncles were trying to hold my hand and playing with me.
Kady was quite awake during the party and i kept looking at her when mummy's ex confinement lady was carrying her. Kady's so sweet and cute. After the party we met grandpa n grandma at Northpoint Harvey Norman as they were shopping for a new television set.

Food Tasting @ OCC

Last thursday, we went to Orchid Country Club for food tasting. Xiao Shu is holding his wedding dinner at the club house in May this year. I was very obedient for 90% of the time. I sat down in my baby chair and kept myself entertained with the stuffs mummy brought along for me. I used my itouch to play songs on you tube. I spread my palm wide and indicated to gu gu that we got to wait for the song to be loaded fully. While playing with my stuffs, mummy also fed me with some chicken, fish, broccoli and rice. I am very happy to be able to eat together with the adults and i enjoyed the food they were eating. I also started to nod my head much to mummy's surprise. I only know how to shake my head for the past 16 mths and i finally learned to nod my head. Towards the end of the dinner, i couldn't sit still any longer and decided to walk around the club house. I love climbing up and down the stairs.

17 months old

I'm 17 month old today! In another months time, i will have reached the childcare going age of 18 months. Mum probably won't send me for any playgroups yet till i turn 24 month, she's worried that my immune system is not fully developed and prone to catch those sick buggies home. Oh well, then i will just wait.
Hey, mummy just upgraded my tooth brush and i am currently using one with bristles. Mummy showed me how she brushed her teeth and i learned to brush my teeth using my new tooth brush. During bath times, i will brush my teeth. It's fun and i love the taste of my fruity tooth paste.
I love to jump but haven't quite succeeded. Just can't lift both my feet off the ground at the same time. When mummy says "jump", i obliged immediately and will look quite awkward trying to lift my heavy butt n feet of the floor. Who cares.

Smiling cheekily has been a favorite past time too. Whenever i sees daddy n mummy coming over to grandma's place for dinner, i will raise one of my shoulders, tilt my head on the raised shoulder and give my best-est smile. Sometimes, i cover my mouth and guffaws.
Laughter is the best medicine!

Hate rides on car seat

Just a week ago, i started this hysterical crying whenever daddy fetch me to and from grandma's place. I disliked being strapped onto the car seat. I will cry all the way home and mummy wasn't on board to entertain me. Sniff!!! Just last night, i cried again when seated in the car seat but daddy decided to play some children music to soothe me and i actually felt slightly better. I didn't cry as loud but just some whining and sniffles...
