Rachelle singing a happy tune: "We are going to the Zoo! Zoo! Zoo! How about You? You? You? You can come Too! Too! Too! We are going to the Zoo! Zoo! Zoo! I went to the Zoo today together with Mummy and her friends. It was a pretty hot day at the zoo and there are so many people because this is the last week of mid year holidays for the kids. I didn't really bother too much with the animals in the zoo, i guess i am more interested in the portable fan that was clipped onto my stroller. Mummy kept pointing out the animals to me but i was simply not interested. The only animals that got my attention were the elephants. They are so big and strong. Probably that explained why i am interested in them. Besides that, I also like the rain forest exhibit because there's a small area with the rain "falling". That's is very familiar to me as mummy often turns on the shower and let me play with the sprays of water during my bath time. And the place is so cool with the air con on. I saw insects such as butterflies fluttering their wings gracefully, huge bats hanging upside down and the cute raccoons hiding in one corner. Aloysius gor gor helped mummy to push me in my stroller and kept entertaining me the whole day. I guess i am really adorable and fun to play with. Gor Gor Adison also played with me and will pat me on my head. Of course he also tried to make fun of me by putting hats on my head whenever we visit the souvenir shops. At 5pm, we were at the penguins enclosure to watch a performance by the seal, penguins and walrus. After the end of the show, we queued up to get a peck on the face by the seal. But mummy got the seal's kiss on her face cos i'm too young (i might tug at the seal whiskers & anger him) and mummy don't want the seal to kiss me in case i get a breakout on my smooth face. By 6.30pm, we left the zoo. I had a very long day at the zoo and i only managed to nap for 1hour. 30mins during lunch and 30mins on the way to dinner. We had dinner at Yishun Seafood Village before we call it a day!! I had fun and feeling extremely tired.

Happy Father's Day

Yesterday was the 1st Father's Day for daddy. Eh.. but we didn't celebrate at all. Poor Daddy! I spent most of the day at my grandparents' place as daddy and mummy went to their friends' place for a mahjong session. However my grandparents brought me to my great grandparents' place for a visit and grandpa sent me home in the evening. Daddy's car is in a bad shape, the front door can't be opened and the bonnet and bumper are badly dented as he got into a minor accident on sat. Hope daddy's car will get well soon! Happy Father's Day to Daddy!

My swimwear collection

Last Friday, mummy brought me out to Causeway Point to meet Auntie Shari, Gwyneth and Kayden. We had lunch together at MOS burger. I was so excited upon seeing them and started babbling but Gor Gor Kayden was too shy. He kept looking down on the floor and don't want to talk to me. However, mummy managed to talk to Kayden and warmed him up after some time and he finally shared his Thomas The Train toy with me. After lunch we went for a kiddy ride under the request of Kayden. See how much fun they had. Mummy bought me another swimsuit as she afraid i will be very cold if i wear the bunny one to swim at Auntie Maggie's place(5th July) and at Aquaduck lesson(12 july). The swimwear she got me can cover me up more. Hehe.. Check out my swimwear. Which is nicer?


My latest addition. From Liferacer and mummy bought it during the sale and it cost $19.90.


The ladybug piece is bigger so mummy got me another bunny one at a smaller size.

Before the Audition

What has happened to me? First my double eyelids went missing since tues and they are still pretty much in hiding. Then i scratched myself on my face that i have not 1 but 3 marks near my eyes and nose. And then red rashes appeared on my right cheek. Oh Gosh, mind you, i'm going for the Singapore Calendar Baby Audition later today at 11.30am at Junction 8. Hmmm.... my chances are so slim now. Fairy Godmother please help! Mummy has been applying the California Baby Calendular cream religiously since thursday. I hope at least my double eyelids will be out by the time i wake up later in the morning. Fingers crossed and toes crossed. Wish me Luck!

Mummy has been staying home to take care of me for the whole week as poor grandma is not feeling well. She is suspected to be having dengue. I hate those mosquitoes cos they made Ah Ma sick. Hope Ah ma gets well soon. The weather has been very hot that even having the fan on 24 hours is not enough to cool me down. I keep perspiring and my whole head feels hot. I got so frustrated and cranky until mummy turn on the air conditioner for me. Today i had my first real haircut. Mummy brought me to Alan and Guys at SSC and the nice Jie Jie helped me cut my hair. I was quite co-operative cos i didn't kick up a fuss. However i was pretty curious about the whole place, the people there and what the jie jie was trying to do to me that i kept turning my head around. The Jie Jie has been very patient and careful with me. I am quite guilty though cos i kept turning and she accidentally cut herself on her fingers as a result of it.

Crawler

Hey! I think i am learning to crawl soon. For the past week, i have been trying to lean forward while seated to get into the crawling position. Whenever mummy leaves me at my little playing corner, she will find me in that position. My buttocks is high up but somehow i can't free my legs from under my body each time. There was only 1 occasion whereby i succeeded and i got down on my tummy. I tried wriggling away on daddy and mummy's bed and that was kind of easy to do nowadays. One minute i'm seated on the middle of the bed and the next, i'm at the edge of the bed. I hope i don't fall off the bed cos my folks' bed is very high. In no time, you should be able to witness me crawling on my fours.

Little foodie's diary

It's been close to 3 months since i started on semi solids. I'm still pretty excited about eating and whenever i see daddy and mummy eating, my jaws start moving and i start chewing on some invisible food. I am making up a list of the food i've taken so far and my likes and dislikes.

Cereals :
Bellamy Rice Cereal
- Smooth and i like it.
Healthy Times Brown Rice Organic
- Got cough after eating too much of it but my body has since accustom to it. Delicious.
Healthy Times Barley Organic
- I like it more pasty and it smell really nice.
Happy Bellies Brown Rice Organic
- I somehow prefer Healthy Times Brown Rice to this.
Frisocrem
- I like this as the texture is nice and it smells creamy

Mummy has stashed away Healthy Times oatmeal cereal and Happy Bellies Multigrains Cereal in the cupboard, i believe she's going to introduce them to me soon.

- Nice but i always make a mess after eating. Mummy will find food remains stuck on my hair, my body, my clothes,my face and on the floor.

- My all time favourite. Yummy, simply cannot resist. The little stars dissolves in my mouth. Magic!

I still have Gerber Graduates sweet potato puffs and banana puffs that mummy got from the motherhood fair.

Wedding Celebration

Happy this time round.

I didn't slept well last night, was whining quite a bit due to my blocked nose. Mummy was sick as well. This morning, i dreaded waking up early and mummy got to force me to wake up for my bath. We are attending Auntie Irene and Uncle Melvin's ROM at Peony Jade Restaurant. Think mummy was so sick that she thought the ceremony starts at 11.55am. Actually it starts at 11.30am sharp. Luckily Auntie Angie called mummy to inform her and we made a mad rush out. Daddy drove real fast and we managed to reach just on the dot. Phew! That was close. Auntie Irene looks so pretty but her hand bouquet is even prettier cos i can't stop myself from grabbing them. The lunch was good and mummy loved the strawberry cake that Auntie Irene bought for Uncle Melvin's birthday.
After lunch, daddy went to Raffles Hospital for his physiotherapy while mummy and i went shopping at Bugis Junction. I got new clothes from Fox, it was a very good deal as there's 30% off and additional 15% off for 3 pieces of clothing. Later in the evening, mummy received a call from an event co. I was asked to go for an audition this coming Saturday at Junction 8 for the Singapore Baby Calendar. Mummy is real excited and she is going to hunt for polka dots outfit for me!

Runny nose

Ah Choo! Ah Choo! The weather got me, it started with a few coughs and my nose got runny.. yes, i'm down with a flu. Mummy brought me to Eu Yan Sang Clinic for the second time yesterday. The nurse measured my temp. 36.6 degrees Celsius. No fever, not H1N1. Phew! I hate to be sick, i must get well fast as i'm going to attend Auntie Irene and Uncle Melvin's ROM at Peony Jade tomorrow. It's the same place that daddy and mummy went for their ROM(8th Mar 06) too! I will take some photos tomorrow and update here : ) "Ah Choo!" excuse me.....

Bathtub Swimming

The weather has been very terrible. Everyday is hot and stuffy. I am sweating buckets at home. Mummy has to switch on the fan for me all day long and switch on the air conditioner at night. During the night when we are out, the air feels warm. Global warming is so real!
The swim suits, float and sunnies that mummy bought has been sitting at home for quite some time. I haven't got the chance to go swimming yet. The safra pool in yishun only let the public in on weekdays non peak hours and mummy is still waiting for Da Yi to arrange for a swim session at Yishun Emerald. On an act of impulse, mummy put on my bunny swim suit and dipped me in my bath tub. Nevertheless, it was still great fun and i enjoyed it very much! I do hope i'll be going swimming soon.

Toys Toys Toys! Can't get enough of it. Especially with the Great Singapore Sale going on, mummy is much more willingly to splurge on toys for me. Today after mummy's business meeting at orchard, she went to Isetan and Tangs Children Dept to source out for good bargains. The toys and kids apparels are mostly on 20% discount. Mummy got me a Vtech Activity Walker. Originally was $89.90 and it's going for $59.90 now. Since mummy was still one of the first 30 buyers, another Vtech Peek a Boo Star toy(retailing at $23.90) was thrown in for FREE! That's a really great deal, too good for mummy to resist. Haha.

Motherhood Shopping

It was such an eventful day yesterday. Mummy brought me out on her own to Vivo City for lunch with other forum mummies. We took the MRT with me in my stroller. I was very well behaved and kept myself busy with the toys mummy brought along. We had lunch at White Dog Cafe. Baby Zachary was also there with Auntie E-wen. I am so happy and the other aunties there took turns to carry me. They all said i am very gentle and pretty. After lunch we went to toy r us to shop for toys. Mummy was thinking of buying me a Vtech activity walker or any other interesting vtech toy. However mummy got me a Leapfrog counting maracas. Auntie E-wen then asked mummy to go to the motherhood fair together at Expo after that since she's driving. During the journey to expo, both me and Zachary slept in the car. We played and shopped till we were very tired. At the fair, mummy signed me up for a photo package with Sean Lau and got me some clothes, a beach ball, gerber puffs in strawberry & apple, sweet potato and banana flavour. Woohoo, I'm going to ask mummy to doll me up so i will look good in the pictures.

Busy weekend

Woohoo! The past weekend was so busy for me. On sat, we went to a house warming celebration and on sun, we went shopping at Tampines 1 followed by a baby shower. Yesterday before we go for the baby shower at Sengkang, we popped over at Tampines 1. Mummy is still craving for the yummy strawberry cake at Yamazaki. In the end, the cake wasn't available and mummy settled for strawberry puff. We also chilled out at Teadot cafe for a glass of Dragon dunno what tea. Mummy ordered it cos the name sounds cool but daddy said it tasted funny. It's actually oolong tea with a dash of citrus orange peel. When mummy and daddy were sipping on their tea, i was drifting into slumber land. I woke up at 8.30am, that's why I'm so tired. After that we headed to the baby shower. One of daddy's colleagues carried me and brought me all around the house. There are so many pretty balloons floating inside the house and uncle gave me a pink one. I was very entertained by the purple thread that was tied to the balloon. it kept me occupied for a good 30 mins or more.
