House Warming

Today daddy drove mummy and me to attend Uncle Roswan's house warming celebration at Edgefield plains. I have so much fun there with Bernard and Benson (sons of daddy's ex boss). They are really funny and kept meddling with the portable fan mummy brought along to cool me down. Their mummy kept telling them to stop it but they were just very curious with my fan cos the blades of my fan won't cut their fingers. Benson even asked mummy if i'm a boy cos i got short hair like him. They kept referring to me as "He" even after repeated corrections to them that i'm a "She". Anyway, I shrieked in delight when Benson played and talked to me. I love socialising with other kids, they always made my day! I was so active the whole afternoon and got so hungry that i wolfed an entire bowl of brown rice cereal within 15 mins.

My first bath by daddy!

Last night daddy helped mummy to give me a bath while she was busy expressing milk for me. It was the first time that daddy bathed me. He was afraid to take up this task as he was worried that he might mishandle me and drop me or something. However under the constant "pressure" and encouragement by mummy, he managed to complete the task with my hair intact. Mummy gave daddy step by step instructions. Daddy definitely has no experience but he's extremely careful with me. I still feel safe as daddy bathed me. During dressing, i kept thrashing my limbs about and it made daddy's life really difficult. One moment one of my legs in through the pants, the other moment my leg is out. By the time daddy was done dressing me, he was sweating profusely. Mummy was really happy that daddy survived the ordeal and looks forward to see more of such bonding sessions between daddy and me!

Puku Puku

Yesterday i went shopping at Sembawang Shopping centre with Da Yi, Caris and Popo. Caris wore her new pair of shoes and by the time we reached the entrance of the mall, she complained her feet hurts. Da Yi got to buy her another new pair of shoes if not she will have to carry Caris. The mall is so cool, it's a good place to hide away from the stuffy and humid weather. The sky threatened to rain for the longest time but it didn't. We were all feeling so sticky and hot even with the fan on at Popo's house. I was glad to be in my Beco and enjoying the air-con. Simply wonderful!
Da Yi, Caris and Popo left the mall earlier and mummy and i waited at the mall for Daddy to join us there for dinner. Daddy arrived shortly after and we dined out at New York New York. I sat on my high chair and babbled non-stop. I was trying to talk to the pink care bear that mummy bought for me earlier. Daddy was so embarrassed by me cos he felt that i was disturbing the rest of the diners. After dinner we went to Giant super mart as mummy spotted a reasonably priced high chair and wanted daddy to get it for me.

D&D

Last saturday, i went to mummy's Co D&D held at Futsing Association. Mummy's colleagues were all very eager to take a look at me. All of them haven't see me since my full month party in Nov 2008. They marvelled at how pretty and adorable i am and passed me from one set of arms to the other. Luckily i was in a good mood and i allowed them to pass me around. They were all surprised that i'm such a easy and friendly baby. I practically allowed almost any one to carry me. In between the event, mummy and daddy took turns to bring me out to the common area outside the event hall cos i enjoy seeing the other kor kors and jie jies running around there. Caris was also there playing with the other kids. It was so fun and i kept kicking my legs away excitedly. I wanted to join them in running but i forgot i haven't learn how to walk let alone to run with them. It was a fun night for me as i get to see and play with lots of other children.

My new look

See what mummy did to me with my head full of perspiration. It was raining but it's still hot and stuffy cos the wind wasn't blowing into our house and mummy didn't turn on the fan for me!

Nice?

I was home the whole of yesterday together with mummy. However we have lots of fun together as mummy played peek a boo and toys with me. I had a very good appetite yesterday. Lunch was a 125ml bottle expressed breast milk(EBM) and 5 tablespoons of healthy times brown rice cereal. I finished all of it and was feeling so satisfied. 3 hours later, mummy gave me 60ml of EBM and 4 tablespoons of Healthy Times Barley cereal. Mummy was asking me repeatedly whether the cereal is nice. She kept asking : "Nice?, nice?......." You know what? I replied "nice". Mummy made sure she wasn't being too imaginative or hearing things and she tried asking me more. Hmm.. what to do, i replied her again. Mummy was so shocked and also feeling really proud of herself that she taught me the word NICE. To reward me, mummy decided to cook me porridge for the very first time. She got some advices from the forum mummies(potato and carrot porridge) and whisked me to NTUC to buy the ingredients. For dinner, i had carrot and pumpkin porridge. However, it's not recommended to use 2 orange veg in a week which my blur mummy learnt later from another forum mummy. So mummy will get grandma to make either potato and pumpkin porridge or carrot and potato porridge for me instead for my dinner tonight. The porridge is yummy and i simply love it!

Mummy's Birthday

Today is Mummy's birthday and i turn 7 months as of today. We have some activities for the day and it started off with breakfast at Mcdonalds at 9.30am. I got up early at 8am for my bath. Mummy was worried that i will be sleep deprived as we are going to be out the whole day and put me straight into bed after my bath. Somehow i still manage to sleep for another 20-30 mins till we are ready to leave the house. I'm so happy when i reached Mcdonalds, i kept kicking my legs as i saw 3rd Ah Yi and Yi Zhang. I was overjoyed when i saw Caris and family. My legs kicking even harder. After breakfast, we set off for Sentosa Siloso Beach. It was a sunny day but luckily it wasn't too hot. Mummy slapped sunscreen all over my body and face upon reaching the island, she is afraid i will turn into charcoal after staying out in the sun. Mummy carried me out to the beach and dipped my feet into the water. I was a little scared and i grabbed hold of mummy. When the waves came in, i was even more frightened. I sort of panicked and my brows turned red, ready to tear. Mummy held me tightly and kept me out of the water and that calmed me down. When the water is calmer, mummy dipped my legs into the water again. I stood on the sandy beach and watched the waves coming in and out. It was not a bad experience afterall.
We left Sentosa at 2pm and went to Vivo White dog cafe for lunch. After some shopping, we headed north and we bought mummy a birthday cake along the way home.

Dinner @ Fish & Co

Mummy's birthday is just around the corner and today we had an early celebration together with daddy, auntie Angie and auntie Irene at Fish and Co. It's a pity auntie Haz couldn't join us due to work commitment and i haven't had the chance to meet her yet. We had Seafood platter, Fish and Chips and Pizza. How would dinner be complete without dessert? We then headed to MOF for ice cream. Auntie Angie has been craving for them since April. She is so excited to eat her MOF ice cream. There are some pics to share with all of you! Oh ya, i had my first kiddy ride today. I love the steering wheel on the airplane.

Blinking Eyes

My grandparents and gu gu came to our place this evening. They came over to play with me and daddy & mummy were busy running their business.. ahem restaurant city in Facebook. Luckily i had good company. After my milk feed, mummy made me pear puree. I was a bit apprehensive at the first feed but subsequently i realised i like it. Halfway through the feed, mummy caught me blinking my eyes at daddy. Later on gugu also witnessed my new trick. They were all puzzled where i learnt this from. Hmmm.. i'm now in the exploring and copycat stage. I will have more new tricks up my sleeves very soon. Stay tuned.....

Peel and core ripe pear
Mash sliced pear

Happy Mother's Day

Today is a very special day because it's Mother Day! Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers in the world. I'm so naughty today as i made mummy woke up earlier than usual. I couldn't sleep so i cry and fuss waking mummy. When mummy woke up, i went back to sleep. Kekeke... After my brunch(milk and brown rice cereal), we headed out to SSC. Daddy and mummy had lunch and we did a quick shopping and we were back home again. I had a short nap and mummy fed me milk, barley cereal and sweet potato puree. What a feast! The sweet potato puree is so delicious and i finished them all. Mummy had a hard time feeding me cos i kept blowing out the food to get mummy's attention and try to make her laugh. However mummy doesn't find it funny at all... Well, i'll try some other ways to entertain her then : p. Daddy has already given up on feeding me cos i spilt the food all over his face during brunch. Hahaha.

Sweet Potato Puree :
Wash sweet potato
Steam over small heat (30 mins or more) till soft
Peel skin and mashed
Add breast milk to soften mixture.

Vesak Holiday

Today mummy started me on Healthy times Barley Cereal. The cereal is slightly greenish in colour but it does taste good! I'm so happy to be eating different kind of cereals. Mummy gave me lots of variety so i won't be sick from eating just one type of cereal. Hooray to Mummy! After a quick lunch for me, daddy drove us to Tampines Central under the request of mummy. She wanted to visit the newly opened Tampines One Mall. The mall was very crowd and we had our lunch at F.I.S.H cafe as it was the least crowded. After that we went around every level of the mall to check out the shops. The Japanese bakery(Yamazaki) in the basement sells really good cakes and bread. Mummy bought a slice of strawberry cake for herself and eclairs for daddy. Then we went to another Japanese snacks shop(Yamakawa) and mummy got me Wakodo Rice and Vegetable biscuits. In the evening, we went to Popo's house and had dinner with all the Ah yis and Yi zhangs at the coffee shop near Popo's house. Caris kept me entertained during dinner. I'm so delighted when she sang to me. Hehehehe.. So fun to play together! Oh ya, i want to wish gu gu a " HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" : )

Yummy!

Hmmm...Yummy! Mummy gave me a maple biscuit yesterday. My gum are really itchy and i've been stuffing my fingers, toes, mummy's hand and basically anything i can grab hold off into my mouth. Mummy said i might be teething soon thus she bought me Healthy Times Maple Biscuit for teethers to soothe my itchy gums. The biscuit gave off a really nice fragrance and by the look of me holding on to the biscuit for dear life, u know how delicious it tasted to me. Mummy was so curious about the biscuit that she took one of it as well. However she doesn't like it cos it's too hard. That's precisely why it was stated that " For teethers". Anyway i enjoyed the biscuit very much, if not for my Zzzz monster catching up on me, i would have finish the entire biscuit.

Bunny Booties

Thanks Gu Gu for the lovely bunny booties! They are really pretty to look at and even NICER to chew on! Ke ke..

Twins?

Do i bear some resemblance to the jie jie on the left? When mummy was expecting me, she kept looking at the picture of the lovely girl that she pasted on the wall. She heard from others that if a pregnant lady kept looking at a picture of a pretty girl/boy, the baby in the tummy will bear certain resemblance to her/him. That's why people used to say that pregnant mummies shouldn't look at ugly things during their pregnancy. Wonder how true this really is but mummy say i look a bit like the jie jie leh. We have the same hairline, eyes also quite similar except that jie jie got bigger eyes. Our face shape, nose and mouth also alike. Perhaps you can be the judge and do a poll. Using percentage as a reference, how alike are we? 0%-100%. So soon to be mummies, if you want a photo of me just let my mummy know. She will
enlarge one of my photos from my huge collection just for you!!! *Chuckles*

Shopping for a Pressie!

I've got an important task to accomplish by today which is to accompany Mummy to go shop for a birthday present for Auntie Sharon. Her birthday is tomorrow! Daddy drove us to Vivo and gosh.. i always like to see daddy drives. I will look at him lovingly whenever i'm in the car with daddy.
There's so many things to see in the mall and after 2 hours of shopping we finally got Auntie Sharon's present. I won't be telling what is it cos Auntie Sharon might be spying around here then it won't be a surprise for her. At the centre of the mall there is an exhibit of the big blue whale by National Geographic. Check out the size of the whale. It's huge!
After the whole trip, i fell asleep almost immediately when i was buckled to my car seat. It just took several mins for daddy to drive out of Vivo's Carpark and i'm asleep!

Messy Messy!

I'm feeling much better after taking the herbal concoction for 2 days. I had a hard time swallowing down the brown murky and weird smelling liquid. Still got 2 more days to go. Sigh! Even adults may not take it better than me. Mummy is really proud of me as I didn't kick up a fuss while she was feeding me. I merely sat on my bumbo and daddy on standby, ready to entertain me whenever mummy scooped a spoonful of the liquid into my mouth. Today mummy made me apple puree to take in between scoops of medicine to make me feel better. I'm coughing less frequently and the phlegm seems to reduce a bit. The most important part is that i'm able to sleep better today! Apple Puree saves the day!
(See the puree on my right)
